Steel fixing chargehand — Sonitpur

Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Sonitpur, Assam. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. The role involves fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
