Brick and block layer • Kancheepuram, State of Tamil Nadu

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Kancheepuram, State of Tamil Nadu. The job is on a new-build development. You will pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
