Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Malda District, West Bengal. You will be based on a busy residential building site. The role involves: • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules You should bring able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
