Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Your main tasks: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges 5+ years on the tools preferred.
