Foundry operative wanted in Bajali

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Bajali, Assam. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day-to-day duties: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities You should bring able to read simple casting drawings and job cards; willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor; experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
