Garment machinist — West Siang

Now hiring: we are hiring a garment machinist in West Siang, State of Arunachal Pradesh. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. On a typical shift you will inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges. Ideal candidate: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
