Now hiring: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Vizianagaram District, State of Andhra Pradesh. The job is at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. On a typical shift you will set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing. You should have: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Six days a week, one day off.
