The role involves read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test ₹32,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
