Immediate opening: we are hiring a banksman in Hnahthial, Mizoram. The job is on an offshore oil and gas platform. On the job you will handle: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Read lift plans and method statements before starting You should bring confident with standard crane hand signals; sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles; ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
