Requirements: • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements • Confident with manual handling and load securing Your main tasks: • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Complete delivery notes, CMR paperwork and proof-of-delivery • Reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
