Day to day you will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. You should bring able to read isometric and fabrication drawings; able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through; able to pass a practical weld test on the first day.
