Bar bender and fixer wanted in Gangtok

Great opportunity: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Gangtok, Sikkim. You will work on a busy residential building site. You should have: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates The role involves set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week — bring your tools.
