Immediate opening: we are hiring a pressman in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. You will be based in a busy laundry. You will use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
