Blocklayer — Chittoor

Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in Chittoor, State of Andhra Pradesh. The role involves cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses. Ideally you have sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish); able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently; able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. ₹31,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts.
