Great opportunity: we are hiring a carpenter in Dehradun, State of Uttarakhand. The job is on a residential housebuilding project. You will read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists; build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions; measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge; install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish. What we are looking for: • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers • Good eye for detail and a clean finish Performance bonus on top of base pay.
