Now hiring: we are hiring a gas pipeline fitter in Mandya, State of Karnataka. The job is at a boiler and appliance service centre. On a typical shift you will test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser; braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints; check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray; fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances; connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply; carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply. We are looking for sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing; own hand tools and pipe wrenches; physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders.
