Join our team: we are hiring a brick mason in Rajauri, State of Jammu and Kashmir. The role involves: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
