Now hiring: we are hiring a tig welder in Valsad, State of Gujarat. The job is on an industrial construction site. Your main tasks: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Ideally you have able to pass a practical weld test on the first day; proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium.
