Urgent requirement: fettler (State of Himachal Pradesh)

Join our team: we are hiring a fettler in Hamirpur, State of Himachal Pradesh. Ideally you have basic grinding and fettling skills; physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings; keen eye for casting defects during inspection. Day to day you will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. ₹180 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
