Foundry labourer — Chamba

Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Chamba, State of Himachal Pradesh. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. On a typical shift you will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Full-time with occasional weekends.
