The role involves tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads.
