Now hiring: we are hiring a metal caster in Jodhpur, State of Rajasthan. The role involves: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor 1+ years on the tools preferred.
