The role involves inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; read lift plans and method statements before starting; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
