Wood machinist • East Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya

Great opportunity: we are hiring a wood machinist in East Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya. You will work in a cabinet-making workshop. On a typical shift you will erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board; check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain. Ideally you have NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent; able to read technical drawings and cutting lists; confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week — bring your tools.
