Immediate opening: we are hiring a machinist in Lunglei, Mizoram. You will be based on an export house sewing floor. You will trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. We are looking for quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams; comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line; able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. ₹18,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week — bring your tools.
