Blocklayer — Purba Bardhaman

Join our team: we are hiring a blocklayer in Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal. You will be based on a commercial construction site. Ideally you have physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day; sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish). The role involves: • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings Pay around ₹180 per hour, based on your experience.
