What we are looking for: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear On a typical shift you will carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; guide loads through tight openings into their final position.
