We are recruiting: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Lahul and Spiti, State of Himachal Pradesh. On a typical shift you will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor 1+ years on the tools preferred.
