Now hiring: we are hiring a pressman in Lander County, Nevada. You will be based in a busy laundry. Day-to-day duties: • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure You should have: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Meals and transport allowance provided.
