Machine operator (earthworks) — Ellis County

Join our team: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Ellis County, Texas. You will work at a drainage and utilities contractor. You should have: • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites Day to day you will inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up; keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly; track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient. 2+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Pay around $22 per hour, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
