Urgent requirement: groundskeeper (Virginia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a groundskeeper in Scott County, Virginia. You will be based in a public park. The role involves: • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines Requirements: • Valid driving licence for travel between sites • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage $20 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
