Urgent requirement: we are hiring a tracked excavator operator in Macon County, Illinois. You will work on a busy civils and groundworks site. The role involves lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble; work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance; keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly; load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage; excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift.
