Vacancy available: we are hiring a pastry baker in DeWitt County, Illinois. Requirements: • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Accurate at weighing and following recipes On a typical shift you will prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; check finished products for colour, crumb and weight; laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
