Join our team: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Middlesbrough, England. The job is in a food and dairy equipment factory. The role involves: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) Requirements: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Full-time, day shift.
