You should have: • Knowledge of different plasters, renders and bonding agents • Proven experience hand-skimming and floating to a flat finish Your main tasks: • Clean trowels, buckets and mixers before the plaster sets • Dub out hollows and uneven areas before skimming • Polish the final coat with a steel trowel and water brush • Float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
