Furnace operator — Lapai

Vacancy available: we are hiring a furnace operator in Lapai, Niger State. The role involves: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Full-time with occasional weekends.
