Now hiring: we are hiring an ironing operator in Sheffield, England. Your main tasks: • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. £2,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
