Turning centre operator — Travis County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Travis County, Texas. The job is on the CNC turning shop floor. You should have: • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg Day-to-day duties: • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Run first-off inspection and sign off the part • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
