Now hiring: we are hiring a crane operator in Comanche County, Texas. You will work in a steel fabrication workshop. You should have: • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Current medical and eyesight certificate Day to day you will rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block.
