Immediate opening: fettler (Illinois)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fettler in DeWitt County, Illinois. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills Day-to-day duties: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer $25 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
