Sausage maker — Deuel County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sausage maker in Deuel County, Nebraska. The job is at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Day-to-day duties: • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights What we are looking for: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
