We are recruiting: we are hiring a carpenter in Kangpokpi, Manipur. The job is in a bespoke joinery workshop. On the job you will handle: • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours • Install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails You should have: • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Good eye for detail and a clean finish Full-time, day shift.
