You should have: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear On a typical shift you will carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio.
