Great opportunity: we are hiring a banksman in Soreng, Sikkim. Day to day you will secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; read lift plans and method statements before starting; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Pay around ₹90 per hour, based on your experience.
