Great opportunity: we are hiring a commis chef in Dixie County, Florida. You will be based at a roadside dhaba. Requirements: • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking • Able to read and follow recipes and dockets • Able to stand for long shifts and work in heat Your main tasks: • Keep the station clean and sanitised throughout the shift • Check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down • Marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases • Taste and adjust seasoning for consistency • Label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in • Cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Meals and transport allowance provided. $140 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
