Now hiring: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Huron County, Ohio. The job is at a garment factory. On a typical shift you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; give each garment a final press before packing; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number. What we are looking for: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
