Punch press operator — Jos East

Now hiring: we are hiring a punch press operator in Jos East, Plateau State. You will work in a forging and pressing unit. Requirements: • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges On a typical shift you will adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses; run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
