We are recruiting: we are hiring a carpenter in Gwer East, Benue State. The job is on a residential housebuilding project. Day to day you will check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level; erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours; lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring; hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles; measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet. What we are looking for: • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists 4+ years on the tools preferred.
