Gantry crane operator — Floyd County

Join our team: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Floyd County, Kentucky. You will be based at a container port and shipping yard. Day to day you will follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; work out the load weight and the lifting radius. What we are looking for: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours.
