Now hiring: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Ibi, Taraba State. The job is at a renovation and extension job. You will buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
